Money Matt® is a motivational hip-hop artist born in Cincinnati, Ohio an artist whose music is fueled by resilience, purpose, and an unshakable belief in forward motion. Known offstage as Matt Mansour, his journey into music wasn’t just a passion it was a lifeline.

Early in his childhood, Matt suffered a severe eye injury around Easter, an experience that left a lasting mark and forced him to confront adversity at a young age. Searching for an outlet for the aggression and frustration he carried, he turned to sports and other creative avenues. But it was a single moment of wisdom from a teacher that would change everything:

“You’re the director of your movie. Every choice you make is a new clip. You may not be able to go backward, but you control the next scene—just move forward.”

Matt took those words to heart and never looked back.

By the age of 15, he began freestyling, discovering that music gave him an escape from reality and a way to express himself with honesty and power. What started as release soon became obsession. For years, he locked in—studying rhythm, sharpening his flow, and writing for six to eight hours a night. It took five relentless years of freestyling and self-discipline to truly find his voice.

At 22, Money Matt® built his first home studio and officially stepped into recording. That moment marked the beginning of a new chapter one anchored by his debut single, “No Beats Just Bars,” a raw introduction that laid the foundation for everything to come.

From the start, his mission was clear.

“We need more positive music to inspire the masses.”

Navigating early struggles as an independent artist only strengthened his resolve. Money Matt® committed himself fully to the craft, driven by a vision bigger than fame. He set out to become a positive leader someone youth could look up to the same way they idolize NFL or NBA stars.
